Late dinner, thanks to a last minute (although not entirely unexpected) decision to go trick-or-treating after all. So I got to stay home making fried chicken, roasted potatoes and green beans quietly and at my leisure. All tasty enough, and then we went right to bed. The house still reeked of frying chicken.
