Dinner with Jennie and David: the big excitement was that Jason's bread had some caraway seeds in it.

I made an apple cake from a cookbook that I have had for a long time, "Classic American Desserts". It reminded me of apple sharlotka from SK, in that you mix a batter and pour it over apples, but this one was better. That book has rarely failed me.
