 Classic Lace meal, circa 1986? If anyone came to our house for dinner anytime in the late 80's you would probably get rice pilaf (that I had to call my mom for the recipe for every time), broccoli and chicken piccata. I kow know how to make the rice, and it was chicken francese this time, but other than that...
I still like this meal, and so did Carter and Jason.
I also messed around with a recipe for candy corn popcorn. I had tried some from Trader Joe's and it was so good that I hoped it was reproducible. The recipe I found isn't quite that good, but it was tasty enough, quick and cheap. Just candy corn, melted with a little brown sugar and butter, tossed with popcorn. It certainly looks festive:
