One of my cooking projects over the weekend was ersatz pierogies. Jason thought we should try using dumpling wrappers instead of making the dough. It worked fine, although I still prefer the thicker wrapper you get from making it yourself. I didn't have time to shop for farmers cheese, so I used cottage cheese which was a so-so alternative. Even after draining for a couple of hours, it was still a bit wet. But...sauteed with onions and butter, there were no complaints. Roasted cauliflower to go with it.
