Saturday, 1/16/16

Dinner with Jennie and David: dinner rolls (for a little variety) and carrot cake with mascarpone frosting (from SK's gingerbread layer cake). The cake recipe was from Robicelli's---I thought it worked better as cupcakes, and maybe the carrots weren't as shredded as they could have been. But the mascarpone frosting is super smooth, creamy, and lovely. Maybe better than italian buttercream even. And much easier.
