Dinner at Jennie and David's. Bread and cookies: a new recipe for macaroons (from Food52) which was very easy but I didn't think quite as good as my old David Lebovitz recipe, but might have been improved with a little more salt; plus some double chocolate cookies (NYT) that I think were slightly overdone. They weren't burnt or anything, but I was hoping for a chewier texture. I was underwhelmed by both.
