Pasta with lemon, bacon and pine nuts, from the NYT. You toss pasta with parsley, butter, parmesan and lemon juice and zest, then serve bacon and pine nuts (I used walnuts) at the table to add in. I also added some sauteed summer squash (but peas would have been good, too). I thought this tasted perfect, and hope I can replicate it! Just lemony enough, and the bacon and nuts added a nice crunch.
Jason's picture. Not much better than mine.

  1. This one is KILLING me! These are all my favorite flavors - especially if you make it with peas. If you added those along with chili flakes, and possibly some caramelized shallots, it would basically be a mash up of every pasta I have ever made. If I come to your house will you make this for me??

    1. The recipe did call for chili flakes; I just forgot them. If you come visit, I will definitely make this, along with anything else you want!
