I think henceforth it is safe to assume that Carter will hate any cheesy pasta, with the exception of boxed macaroni and cheese. I made something that I thought I had made before with success: pasta with sweet potatoes, goat cheese and brown butter. I don't know if I misremembered what was in it or how I made it or what, but it was only fine. I think I skimped a little too much on the butter. And as I said, Carter hated it and it took him the better part of the evening to eat one small bowl (does he think dawdling will improve the taste or that his parents will relent?) So this won't be going into rotation.
