Dinner with Jennie and David (I know, a Friday!). Bread plus a walnut cake with coffee icing (Nigella Lawson via NYT). I forgot some coffee in the cake batter (and slightly) overcooked the cake, but overall it was good. Maybe even better with a true buttercream, but you can't argue that American butter cream isn't easy.
