Sunday, 7/17/16

 Simple (albeit messy dinner): fried chicken tenders, salad, flaxseed bread (from Jason). The bread was really nice; the seeds were a nutty-tasting addition. The chicken turned out particularly well. I brined it all day, and then used a method I saw on Serious Eats to bread them: I seasoned my flour with lots of cayenne and black pepper (plus a little MSG) and then mixed in a little bit of the brine into the flour  to create a sort of shaggy texture. This cooked up into crunchy and flavorful chicken. Carter and Jason seemed to really love it.
