Monday, 4/17/18

We had lunch at my parents that was so good (ham, mashed potatoes, asparagus, sweet potato and peas) and so ample that we didn't bother with dinner---just had leftover bread, cheese and deviled eggs.
I did at least make a dessert, although I fear that it's fate is the compost since nobody ate much. Why did I make a flourless chocolate cake when I don't even really like it? I think the picture lured me in. It was a Nigella Larson recipe from the NYT, and though my cake looked just like the picture, I didn't love it. Oh well.
