Dinner with my mom; a really nice sort-of-mexican soup with sausage, little empanadas and cheesy jalapeno roll-ups. I made another sweet potato pie and I think it was a big success. My crust still shrunk, but it was admirably crispy. Might replace some of the white sugar with brown and next time, and dial it back a little more.
