Dinner with my parents: really good beef barley soup, plus some vegetables that I just can't remember? We brought a lemon drizzle cake, from the NYT. Easy enough, since it is a sheet cake. I maybe overcooked it a tiny bit,  as it was nearly too dry. The crackly glaze is my favorite part. I had a dream (literally) of making this cherry instead of lemon someday.
